2010 Season
Indoor- Garcia competed at three meets in the indoor season…had two top 10 finishes…finished ninth in the 10,000 meter run at the Great West Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 33:06.01…also helped his team to a ninth place finish in the Distance Medley Relay at the Houston Invitational with a time of 10:44.8…also finished 24th in the 3000-meter run at the Houston All-Comers meet with a time of 9:15.04…Outdoor- Garcia’s best finish came at the Great West Conference Outdoor Championships where he finished ninth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 33:06.31…finished a personal best 18th in the 800-meter run at the Cactus Cup with a time of 2:10.94, also finished 12th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:24.14…finished 13th in the 5000-meter run at the GWC Outdoor Championships with a time of 16:01.33.

Edcouch-Else High School
Garcia was a four-year letterman in cross country and track and field and a two-year letter winner in soccer…earned First Team All-Valley, First Team All-District during his high school career…was a state qualifier in cross country…best times recorded were a 15:48 in a 5K race, 9:40 in the 3,200-meter run, and 4:28 in the mile run…was a member of the district champs team during his senior campaign.

Off the Track
Garcia is the son of Gabriel and Maria Garcia...born on June 2, 1991…has two brothers - Eduardo and Sebastian…two sisters - Vanessa and Teresa…majoring in mechanical engineering.
