2005 [Junior Season]
In his third season as a Bronc, Powers batted .228...started 28 games while appearing in 38...notched six doubles...drove in 10 runs while also scoring 10 runs...was the only player who played in more than 15 games to not commit an error in the field...garnered Independent All-Academic laurels... had two three-hit performances during the season.
2004 [Sophomore Season]
Powers finished the season with a .348 batting average... appeared in 17 games with three starts... was second on the team with an on-base percentage of .423... recorded two hits against Southeastern Louisiana (May 8)... named to the Independent Baseball All-Academic Team.
2003 [Freshman Season]
In his first season with the Broncs, Powers scored 13 runs in 22 games... recorded an on-base percentage of .318... scored three runs vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville (Apr. 1)... plated a pair of runs against Iona... started both games of a doubleheader against Texas A&M Kingsville (Apr. 1).
2002
Powers redshirted during the 2002 season.
Simon Rivera High School - Powers was named first team all-district in his junior and senior seasons... received All-Metro honors... batted .415 as a senior with six doubles, four triples and 19 RBI... also lettered in football... graduated seventh in his class.
