2011 Season • Freshman
Competed in three meets ... finished in 16th place at the UTSA Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic with a time of 19:37 ... posted a time of 24:33.3 at the Chilli Pepper Cross Country Festival for a 201st place finish ... finished in 24th at the Great West Conference Championship with a time of 19:26.71. 

Zapata High School

Garcia earned letters for track and field while at Zapata High School... During her cross-country career at Zapata High School, she won individual District 32-3A and Regional 4-3A Championships in cross country (2009). She was a four-time 3A State Cross-Country Championships qualifier (2007 - 2010) and in the 2009 and 2010 seasons, Garcia earned All-State selections in cross-country. Garica helped her team to win three consecutive District crowns (2007 - 2009), and to be district runners-up in her senior campaign (2010). In 2009, Garcia led the Lady Hawks to the Region IV-3A Cross-Country title. The Lady Hawks also made three consecutive appearances at the 3A State Cross Country Championships (2008, 2009, 2010). On the track, Garcia doubled in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs as a three-time District 32-3A Champion (2009, 2010, 2011) and four-time Region 4-3A Qualifier (2008 - 2011).

Off the Track

Garcia is the daughter of Juan and Paula Garcia...has one brother, Juan Garcia III, and two sister-Isabel and Marisol...born March 8, 1993...majoring in Dietetics.
