2009-12 (Kingwood High School): Despite picking up golf just before the start of high school, Gere competed at the varsity level for all four years, leading the Mustangs in lowest average score each year … Won the district championship as both a freshman and a sophomore and competed for the regional championship each time … Has competed in numerous tournaments sponsored by the Houston Golf Association, Texas Junior Golf Tour, Legends Junior Golf Tour and South Texas PGA as well … Won the 2011 Houston Golf Association Junior Match Play Championship and the 2011 Legends Junior Golf Tour Tournament at the Cypresswood Traditions Course.
