2008 Season 
Indoor- garnered two top-10 finishes during the indoor track and field season... placed third in the long jump at the Bayou Classic with a jump of 17-8.0... posted a jump of 38-6.75 in the triple jump for a sixth-place finish at the Houston Indoor Invitational... earned a 12th place finish in the long jump at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a jump of 18-1.5.

2007 Season
Outdoor - Cavazos collected 13 top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season... earned runner-up laurels in long jump with a mark of 18-11.25 at the ACU Last Chance Meet... finished third overall at the Border Olympics in the long jump with a mark of 17-8... recorded a third-place showing in the triple jump at the Rice Twilight with a leap of 39.1.75... place fourth overall honors ar the ASU/David Nobel Relays in the triple jump with a leap of 39.5.25... finished fifth overall in the triple jump with a leap of 38-5 at the Texas Invitational... collected sixth place laurels at the Texas Twilight in the long jump with a mark of 18-9.75... posted a fifth place showing in the triple jump with a leap of 38-5 at the Texas Invitational... Indoor-Cavazos captured her first title of the indoor track and field season in the triple jump with a leap of 39.1.75 which was the third best jump in program history at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet... finished 13th overall at the Leonard Hilton Memorial in the triple jump with a leap of 35-5.0.

2005 Season
Outdoor- Cavazos won two individual championships in the triple jump during her rookie season with the Lady Broncs... captured her first  title at the Hyatt Regency Invitational with a season-best distance of 38-0.75 in the triple jump... recorded a mark of 37-4 at the Angela Proctor Classic en route to securing her second crown of the season... recorded a score of 2,769 points in the heptathlon at the Angela State Multi-Events... Indoor- Cavazos placed 12th overall at the Tyson Invitational with a distance of 37-6.5 in the triple jump.

Weslaco East High School
Cavazos was named the top long jump performer in the Rio Grande Valley in each of her final three seasons as a member of the Weslaco East High School track and field team... named the top triple jump performer in the Rio Grande Valley during her junior and senior campaigns... was a four-time Most Valuable Performer award winner for the Wildcats... captured the District 32-4A title in both the long and triple jump in each of her four seasons... won the regional championship in the triple jump during her senior season... advanced to the Texas State Track and Field Championships in that event as a senior... recorded the top leaps in school history in the long jump and triple jump with marks of 17-11.5 and 37-10.5, respectively... was a two-time Most Valuable Player award winner for the volleyball team... selected as an All-District 32-4A performer on two occasions in volleyball... graduated from Weslaco East High School with honors.

Off the Track
Cavazos is the daughter of Joel and Minerva Cavazos... has three brothers - Joe, Eleazar and Astolfo - and one sister - Elsa... was born on Nov.4, 1985... majoring in kinesiology.
