EDINBURG – Throughout her time with the University of Texas-Pan American women's basketball team, Kelly Garrett learned many things that she has been able to pass back to the youth of the Rio Grande Valley.
 
Garrett, who played from 1993-97, took certain things away from all of her coaches and has been able to use that throughout her high school coaching career.
 
It's not all about wins and losses for Garrett. She has learned that she makes an impact on the lives of her student-athletes just like they have impacted her.
