RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Thursday that right side hitter Pamela Moreira, who was part of the volleyball team from 2017-21, is set to start her professional career with Vitrolles Sport Volley-Ball in France's Fe´de´ration Franc¸aise de Volley this season.
 
Moreira will be teammates with former UTRGV teammate Victoire Nama (2019-21).
 
After redshirting the 2017 season, Moreira became a key contributor in 2018, helping the team to win the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship with a 13-3 WAC record. She averaged 2.32 kills, 1.29 digs and 0.57 blocks in 68 sets across 20 matches.
 
This past season, Moreira had her best passing year, averaging a career-high 1.68 digs in 38 sets across 13 matches.
 
Moreira graduated from UTRGV in May with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
