RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team learned on Tuesday that graduate student midfielder Yusuf Cueceoglu has been named to the All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Second Team, as voted on by the league's coaches.
 
Cueceoglu played in all 17 matches for the Vaqueros while making 14 starts. Cueceoglu led the team with six assists and 10 points while scoring a pair of goals. 
 
Cueceoglu raised his game once WAC play started as he finished the WAC season with two goals, four assists, and eight points. 
 
Cueceoglu finished tied for the second most assists in the WAC this season while finishing tied for ninth in points. 
 
Cueceoglu wrapped up his career with 20 goals, 17 assists, and 57 points spread over his time with Villanova, Portland, and UTRGV. Eleven of those assists came with UTRGV and ranks tied for fourth most in program history.
