RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) volleyball team announced on Monday that it will host six summer camps for middle school and high school age players, including a team camp (May 14-15), four all skills camps (June 7-30), and an elite camp (July 16-17) at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
 
Registration for the camps must be completed in advance online at https://camps.jumpforward.com/utrgvvolleyball.
 
Instruction for all camps will be provided by UTRGV head coach Todd Lowery, associate head coach Vini Baigan, assistant coach Paulina Ramirez, and current UTRGV student-athletes.
 
Team Camp (May 14-15, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
This camp is open to teams including, but not limited to those competing at the junior varsity & varsity high school and club levels. This is an opportunity to get an early look at how a team will be during the upcoming season against some of the best competition in front of the UTRGV volleyball coaching staff. Teams can invite friends and family to come and cheer them on. The cost is $300 per team.
 
All Skills Camps
Session 1: June 7-9, 9-11 a.m.
Session 2: June 14-16, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Session 3: June 21-23, 9-11 a.m.
Session 4: June 28-30, 9-11 a.m.
 
These camps are a great opportunity to work on volleyball skills, including passing, hitting, and setting. This is a great opportunity to learn about the sport of volleyball and what it is like to be an NCAA Division I student-athlete. The cost is $150 per camper online and $125 for UTRGV employees paying by check in advance of the camp. Elite Camp (July 16-17, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.)
This is a great opportunity to work on volleyball skills, including passing, hitting, and setting and to learn about the sport of volleyball, including what it is like to be an NCAA Division I student-athlete.

The camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender). NCAA rules prohibit representatives of UTRGV Athletics interests (boosters) who are not legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 9-12) from providing any expenses to attend a showcase, camp or clinic. Violations of this could result in loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student-athlete.
