Women's Golf Tees It Up at the Big O Classic on Monday

OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team is back in action this week when they tee it up at the Big O Classic, hosted by Creighton, starting on Monday at Oak Hills Country Club.

Tournament Format

The first two rounds will be played on Monday with teams teeing off at 9 a.m.
The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m.

Golf Course Info

Oak Hills Country Club plays 6,088 yards.
The par for the course is 73.

UTRGV finished in 10^th place at the Red Raider Invitational.
They posted a three-round score of 926 after turning in rounds of 316, 296, and 314.
Mercedes Vega finished tied for 12^th with a three-round score of 219 with rounds of 71, 72, and 76.
Preston Saiz made her collegiate debut and finished tied for 39^th with a three-round score of 231 with rounds of 79, 75, and 77.
Natalia Rodriguez also made her collegiate debut and finished tied for 39^th with a three-round score of 231 after carding rounds of 84, 74, and 73.
Made Ozuna finished in 56^th with a three-round score of 245 after posting rounds of 82, 75, and 88.
Cristina Galban made her UTRGV debut and finished in 58^th with a three-round score of 253 with rounds of 85, 79, and 89.

Last Time Big O Classic

UTRGV did not compete in last year's Big O Classic.
Wichita State won last year's event with a three-round total of 926.
Creighton's Eleanor Hudepohl won the individual title with a three-round score of 219.
