LUBBOCK – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) freshman
Symoria Adkins broke her own school record in the women's 60-meter hurdles on Friday during Day One of the Jarvis Scott Open in Lubbock, running 8.62 (adj.) in the finals to earn a third-place finish and headline a strong day for the Vaqueros indoor track & field team.
This is the second consecutive meet in which Adkins set a school record. Junior
Uxia Pereira finished sixth in the women's 60-meter hurdles final. Adkins and Pereira entered the record books with their performances in both rounds of competition Friday.

Graduate student
