HUMBLE –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team finished in 20^th place at the All-American Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Golf Club of Houston.
 
UTRGV posted a final round 305 to finish with a three-round score of 920 as they finished ahead of Rice. 
 
Junior Javier Neira Garcia posted UTRGV's best finish coming in tied for 48^th with a three-round score of 223. Garcia turned in a final round 77. 
 
Freshman Henry Wang finished tied for 80^th with a three-round score of 230 after a final round 76. Sophomore Juan Luis de Bethencourt Duque and redshirt sophomore Taj Sutherland finished tied for 96^th with three-round scores of 235. Duque posted a final round 76 while Sutherland carded a final round 79.
 
Junior Rhaasrikanesh Kanavathi finished tied for 104^th with a three-round score of 239 after turning in a final round 76. Junior Leonardo Novella, who played in the individual tournament, finished in 18^th with a three-round score of 227 after a final round 76. 
 
Ole Miss came back to win the team title with a three-round score of 855 after posting a final round 281. Tennessee's Jake Hall won the individual title with a three-round score of 209 after a final round 72. 
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action from March 27-28 when they host the Big Texan at Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville.
