Volleyball Hosting Two Free Youth Clinics in Brownsville

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is hosting two free youth clinics for middle school student-athletes and younger this month in Brownsville.

The first clinic is scheduled for Saturday, April 15 from 1-3 p.m. at Pace High School. The second is set for Sunday, April 23 from 1-3 p.m. at Rivera High School. Spots are limited and are filling up fast. Secure your spot and register at GoUTRGV.com/VBclinics. Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. for both clinics.

These free events will give volleyballers in middle school and below a chance to learn from the Vaqueros volleyball staff and student-athletes. UTRGV won the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season championship  in 2022 and 2018, and was the WAC tournament champion in 2016 to advance to the NCAA tournament.

In 2022, the Vaqueros reached the quarterfinals of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) and set numerous program records.

These camps will provide a unique opportunity for young volleyball players in the Valley to work with a championship program and have fun enhancing their skills.
