BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros track & field teams saw another program record fall Saturday as they wrapped up competition at Texas A&M's 44 Farms Team Invitational at E.B. Cushing Stadium with sophomore
Symoria Adkins headlining the day with her seventh No. 1 spot in the record books.
Adkins ran 11.55 to finish eighth in the women's 100-meter dash, claiming her fourth outdoor program record in the process. Sophomore
Nayla Harris followed in 12
th in 11.72, a personal best and tying the No. 4 time in program history.
Sophomore
Aaron Cooper leapt to the No. 2 spot in program history with his third-place finish in the men's triple jump. Cooper tabbed a personal best with a mark of 15.24 meters, and freshman
Hebrew Hunter also hit a personal record as he was ninth with a mark of 14.59 meters. Graduate student
Gabrielle Thomas led the women's triple jumpers as she finished eighth with a jump of 12.25 meters to take the No. 9 spot in the record books.
Sophomore
Hannah Hilding recorded her second personal best of the meet with a fourth-place finish in the women's hammer throw. She was one of two competitors to hit on all six attempts and used her final throw to mark 54.81 meters. In the women's shot put, Hilding was seventh behind freshman
Omolola Kuponiyi who finished fifth. Freshman
Antoine Walker finished 11
th in the men's shot put.

Aliyah Castillo and Adkins took second in 45.75, starting the running session with the third-fastest race in program history.
The short hurdlers had a good day on the track. Adkins clocked the second-fastest time in program history in the women's 100-meter hurdles as she took eighth in 13.51. Freshman
James Voss and junior
Daniel Siaffa were seventh and eighth, respectively, in the men's 110-meter hurdles with the No. 3 and No. 4 times in program history. Voss ran a personal record.
Adams and senior
Jermarrion Stewart paced the women's and men's 400-meter races. Adams was sixth in 54.14, the 10
th fastest time in program history. Freshman
P'soularia Maxey added a personal record in the women's race, clocking in at 56.43 to take 17
th. Stewart was fifth in the men's race, followed by sophomore
Sam Johnson II in eighth.
UTRGV's men's 100-meter dashers added to the sprint success. Sophomore
Jamari Harts was 14
th as he ran a personal-best 10.48 to take the No. 2 spot in program history. Freshman Weslaco East alum
Gael Romo followed closely in 10.49, taking 15
th and the No. 3 spot in the record books.

Kailey Salazar tabbed a personal best to finish fifth in the women's 800-meter run in 2:13.65. In the men's 800 run, senior Brownsville Porter alum
Jorge Salazar took seventh in a personal record time of 1:55.11 and sophomore
Abraham Morales was 10
th, also running a personal best (1:55.83).
Morales and junior
Samantha Gonzalez were solid in the men's and women's 1,500-meter races, respectively. Morales was sixth in the men's race and Gonzalez took fourth in the women's run.
UTRGV hit 12 personal bests Saturday, bringing the total for the weekend to 27, and made 11 additional entries into the consistently rewritten record books.
Up next for the Vaqueros is Texas A&M-Kingsville's Cactus Cup running April 13.
