UTRGV Athletics Breaks Baseball Season Tickets Record More Than Three Weeks Prior to Season Opener

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – For the fourth year in a row, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has broken the program record for baseball season tickets sold, surpassing 1,100 on Tuesday, over three weeks prior to the season opener.

UTRGV opens the season with a three-game series against Kansas Feb. 13-15 at UTRGV Baseball Stadium before hosting Texas Tech on Feb. 17.

All premium seating, including suites, corrals, and the home plate club, is sold out. UTRGV has increased season ticket sales by 135% since the 2023 season.

Fans interested in premium seating options can join the premium seating waitlist. Should any seats become available, fans will be contacted in Vaqueros Loyalty Points order.

Fans have purchased season tickets in record numbers in part to guarantee their seats amid three-straight years of record attendance at Vaqueros home games. Fans can secure their spots by purchasing season tickets online at UTRGVTickets.com.

Being a season ticket member not only guarantees fans tickets to every game, but includes:

  • Priority access to popular promotional giveaways through a dedicated Season Ticket Member line.
  • Vaqueros Loyalty Points, which can lead to priority for future seat upgrade requests across all sports.
