RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Thursday details as to how fans renewing their season tickets can upgrade and/or increase their seat allotments, if available, for the 2026 season.
 
The renewal process closes on Jan. 31. In the weeks that follow, each account holder will receive an email notifying them of what date they will be able to upgrade, move, and/or add seats. Fans will be sorted into dates based on their Vaqueros Loyalty Points totals but will not receive a specific timeslot like during the initial Select-A-Seat process. On the day of their selection, a member of the UTRGV Athletics team will reach out in Vaqueros Loyalty Point order to assist in the upgrade. All upgrades and additions are final. Seats must be paid for in full at the time of the upgrade.
 
Fans will not be able to complete their upgrades or additions in Showpass and must be assisted by a member of the UTRGV Athletics staff. Fans can have a maximum of 10 season tickets on their account. Those that currently have more than 10 season tickets are grandfathered in but cannot increase their amount. Fans will not be able to purchase seats on behalf of other fans, friends, or family members. All seats selected will be placed under the primary account holder. Season ticket additions will only be available within the allotment of 7,000 season tickets, a number which includes suites, club and loge seats, that was made available for the inaugural season.
 
Parking and tailgating can be added based on availability with only one parking pass permitted for every four season tickets. H-E-B Tailgate Zone renewals will be completed at a later date.
 
Any seats or parking passes that are not renewed by the Jan. 31 deadline will automatically be dropped from accounts and made available for upgrades and additions for existing season ticket members. The Vaqueros Loyalty Points deadline for the seat upgrade process is Jan. 31. Any points earned after the deadline will not be counted toward the seat upgrade process.
 
Fans entered in the upgrade process are not required to move their seats and are guaranteed their same seats from the 2025 season should they choose not to move. Due to expected limited availability, seat upgrades and movements are not guaranteed.
 
Should any seats in the allotment of season tickets remain available following the upgrade process, fans on the wait list will be contacted in order of their Vaqueros Loyalty Points ranking based on points accumulated through April 1. Fans can join the wait list at GoUTRGV.com/FootballWaitList.
