SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team is set to compete at the Military City Collegiate when they tee it up on Monday at TPC San Antonio.
The 54-hole event will feature 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes being played on Tuesday. Play will begin each day at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
TPC San Antonio plays 7,106 yards and is a par 72.
The Competition
There will be a 12-team field that will feature UTRGV, UTSA, Abilene Christian, Central Michigan, DePaul, High Point, Lamar, Middle Tennessee, UIW, UT Arlington, Western Kentucky, and Texas A&M individuals.

The Vaqueros finished in ninth place at the Border Olympics where they posted a three-round score of 874. UTRGV posted rounds of 297, 281, and 296.
Jorge Martin Sampedro finished tied for 22
nd with a three-round score of 217 after turning in rounds of 74, 70, and 73.
Arthit Kruaprayong also finished tied for 22
nd with a three-round 217 after carding rounds of 70, 69, and 78.
Rodolphe Cicala finished tied for 27
th with a three-round score of 218 with rounds of 77, 69, and 72.
Gabriel Dulon Villoslada tied for 34
th with a three-round score of 219 with rounds of 75, 68, and 76 while Luis Limon also tied for 34
thwith rounds of 72, 76, and 71.
Esteban Gonzalez finished tied for 50
th with a three-round score of 223 after posting rounds of 74, 74, and 75.
Brock Porter finished tied for 65
th with a three-round score of 228 with rounds of 74, 74, and 80.
Last Time at UTSA
UTRGV hasn't competed at a tournament hosted by UTSA since Sept. 2021 where they finished in 13
th at the then Lone Star Invitational.
UTRGV posted a three-round score of 942 with rounds of 317, 313, and 312.
UTSA won the event with a three-round score of 868 while UTSA's Michael Rome and Hunter Bott tied for the individual lead with a three-round score of 216.
