RIO GRANDE VALLEY –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team learned on Thursday that sophomore
Miriam Barcalova and junior
Natalia Rodriguez have earned Southland All-Conference honors.
Barcalova was named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year while earning a spot on the All-Conference First Team. Barcalova posted a 77.0 scoring average over 10 events in 2025-26.
Barcalova recorded a pair of top-10 finishes this season with a seventh place finish at the Islanders Collegiate and a second place finish at the Southland Conference Championship. Barcalova finished with an even par three-round score of 216 while sinking the par putt to secure the win for the Vaqueros.
Rodriguez was named to the All-Conference Second Team marking back-to-back seasons earning all-conference honors. Rodriguez led the Vaqueros with a 76.7 stroke average across 10 events this season.
Rodriguez posted three top-15 finish this season with a 14
th place finish at the Lady Clerico. She also added a 14
th place finish at the Islanders Collegiate before finishing in sixth place at the Southland Conference Championship.
