Indoor- Strachan was crowned champion at the Great West Conference Indoor Championships in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.69…puts him fourth and fifth in UTPA history in the 400-meter dash…back-to-back Great West Conference champion in the 400-meter dash….Outdoor- posted four top ten finishes…placed third in the 200-meter dash at the Cactus Cup on March 20th…finished 7th in the 400-meter dash at the Michael Johnson Invitational with a time of 48.46…placed eighth in the 400-meter dash at the Rice Twilight meet with a time of 48.21…finished fifth in the 400-meter dash and 13th in the 200-meter dash at the Great West Conference Outdoor Championship.
2009 Season
Indoor – Strachan competed in two meets during the indoor season…crowned 400-meter dash champion at the Great West Indoor Championships as he clocked a time of 49.96…ranks fourth in the records book with performance at the GWC Indoor Championships…ranks third in the record books in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.37 at the Great West Indoor Championships…Outdoor – Broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.28 at the Texas Twilight…posted a time of 21.65 in the 200-meter dash at the UTEP Invitational…collected six top-10 finishes in four meets ran…placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.23 at the UTEP Invitational…ran a leg in the 4x400-meter relay at the UTEP Invitational and posted a final time of 3:33.46 for a third place finish…marked a time of 48.05 in the 400-meter dash for a third place finish at the Victor Lopez Bayou Classic…posted a time of 21.81 at the Texas Twilight for a 10th place finish.
2008 Season
Outdoor – Earned six top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season…in his first meet as a Bronc, Strachan placed first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.56 at the Border Olympic…notched a third place finish in the 400-meter dash at the Texas State Open with a time of 49.12…finished second overall in the 400-meter dash at the Rice Bayou Classic with a time of 48.08…recorded a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.88 at the Javelina Invitational…recorded his second best time in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.88 at the Texas Twilight…finished eighth in the 400-meter dash at the Rice Twilight with a time of 48.81.

The Bahamas native was an All-American (indoor season) in both the400M dash and the 4x400M relay...top finish in the 200M dash was a second place finish with a time of 48.91...top finish in the 400M dash was a fourth place finish with a time of 48.14.
