Jay High School:  Ran the 60-yard dash in 6.2 seconds... A three-sport star at Jay High School... Was named Most Valuable Player for the baseball team... Also was named Male Athlete of the Year... Batted .300 as a senior with 10 doubles and 27 runs batted in... Stole 38 bases... Played in the All-Star Game... Earned first team All-District and second team All-City honors as a wide receiver for the JJHS football team.. Named Offensive Player of the Year... Played in the All-Star Game... Twice a regional finalist in the triple jump... Chosen for Who's Who Among American High School Student... Member of the high school band.
