Prior to UTRGV (Johnson HS): Mitchell did a little bit of everything at Johnson High School and comes to UTRGV as a multi. She reached the Region IV-6A meet in high jump and finished fifth in 2023. Mitchell competed in high jump, long jump, the 100- and 300-meter hurdles in high school and was a heptathlete with club track.
