Final ResultsDELHI, La. – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's golf team finished in 11
th place after shooting a 303 in the final round of the Wallace Jones Invitational on Tuesday at Black Bear Golf Course.
It was the second straight 303 for the Broncs as they finished with a three-round score of 904 (298,303,303). Tournament host University of Louisiana at Monroe and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock finished tied for first with three-round scores of 861.
Freshman
Nicolas Platret led the Broncs in the final round as he posted a one-under par 71 to finish tied for 19
th place with a three-round score of 219 (73,75,71). Platret opened with a birdie on the par-four 10
th hole and made the turn with an even-par 36. After a bogey on the par-four second hole, Platret recorded a pair of birdies on the eighth and ninth holes to close out his round.
Senior
Chris Felix shot a final round 79 to finish tied for 44
th with a three-round score of 226 (73,74,79) while junior
Ramon Ventura-Camp shot a 78 to finish tied for 59
th with a three-round score of 230 (75,77,78). Junior and Sharyland High alum
Peter Fox posted his third straight 77 as he finished tied for 63
rd with a three-round score of 231 (77,77,77) and freshman
Ali Khazanbeik also posted a 77 to finish tied for 82
nd with a three-round score of 238 (81,80,79).
ULM's Calum Hill won the individual title after shooting a three-round score of 205.
The Broncs are back in action in a couple of weeks when they compete in the Jim West Intercollegiate on April 6.
