RALEIGH, N.C. – Freshman Abraham Chirchir posted a time of 29:36.39, which ranks second fastest in program history, in the men's 10,000-meter run at the Raleigh Relays on Friday at Paul Derr Track.
 
Chirchir is currently in the 20^th place through the first two sections of the 10,000-meter race with the final section competing on Saturday morning. 
 
Chirchir's time would have qualified him for the NCAA Regional Meet last year.
