RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The Southland Conference (SLC) announced the 2025 Men's Track & Field All-Academic Team and Indoor and Outdoor Student-Athletes of the Year on Wednesday, and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) sophomore Keamonie Archie was voted to the All-Academic Team. 
 
To be eligible for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA with at least one semester at the nominating institution and have competed in at least 50% of the team's meets. Student-Athletes of the Year must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Head coaches, academic advisors, and sports information directors from across the conference vote on the academic awards. 
 
Archie was the silver medalist in long jump at SLC Outdoor Championships and qualified for the NCAA West First Round in the event. His personal-best jump of 7.52 meters is tied for 10^th in the outdoor program record books. Archie was fourth in long jump at SLC Indoor Championships and tabbed two of the 10-best jumps in indoor program history, including the No. 2 jump with his indoor personal best of 7.45 meters. 
 
Archie, a kinesiology student from Hays, Kansas, collected nine top five finishes throughout his first year at UTRGV. He won long jump at three meets this outdoor season: the Charles Austin Classic, the Cactus Cup, and Trinity Last Chance.
