LONG BEACH, Calif. – A day after setting a personal record in the 1,500-meter run, sophomore Ricardo Mendoza of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's track and field team set a new personal record in the 800-meter run at the Long Beach Invitational on Saturday at Jack Rose Track.
Mendoza finished with a time of 1:52.31, which currently ranks second fastest in the Western Athletic Conference this season.
With his new personal record, Mendoza finished in 23
rd out of 89 total runners.
