SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's track and field jumper Anthony Magallon finished tied for 44^th in the high jump at the NCAA Championships West Preliminary Round on Saturday at Hornet Stadium.
 
Magallon cleared a height of 2.01 meters as he tied with two other jumpers. The top 12 moved on to the finals at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon from June 6-9.
