RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that track & field freshman Jedidiah Udunna is the Killers Golf UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week. 
 
Udunna broke a 32-year-old men's outdoor track & field program record on Friday as he notched a massive long jump of 7.80 meters to finish second in the event at the Charles Austin Classic. He is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation among NCAA Division I men's long jumpers.  
 
On Saturday, Udunna captured his second personal record performance and top-10 finish of the meet, placing eighth in a competitive men's 100-meter dash in 10.81. 
 
Udunna and Co. will be back in action at the Texas State Track & Field Complex Thursday through Saturday for the Bobcat Invitational.
