RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball team announced on Mondayplans to host four camps, including a kids camp and three elite prospect camps, from September through January.
 
The kids camp is set for September 30 while the elite prospect camps are on October 1, November 5, and January 14 at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
 
Vaqueros Kids Camp – September 30, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
This camp is for kids ages 5-13. Campers will get to meet UTRGV players & coaches while getting quality instructions in various aspects of the game.

Elite Prospect Camps – October 1, November 5, and January 14, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
These camps are designed to give campers ages 14 and up the opportunity to showcase their abilities while being evaluated by college coaches. Position players will be evaluated in the 60-yard dash, hitting, defense, pop times, and arm strength, while pitchers will get instruction through a guided intrasquad setting at the end of camp. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak with UTRGV coaches, see facilities, and learn the culture of UTRGV baseball.
Cost: pitchers – $125, position players – $150, two-way players – $165
