LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros swimming & diving program fell 69-31 in a relay meet against the New Mexico State (NMSU) Aggies Friday at the NM State Swimming & Diving Complex.
 
UTRGV earned eight top-three finishes including one event win with freshman Annaleagh Stahl, sophomore Olivia Votava, and freshmen Ida Rudelius, and Madiana Lofgren combining for a win in the 500 freestyle relay (4:59.43).
 
Meanwhile, sophomore Chloe Siegrist and freshmen AJ Rogers, Mia Gonzalez, and Sarah Garcia earned second in the 500 freestyle relay (5:30.82).
 
The trio of Stahl, Votava, and Rudelius earned second in the 300 medley relay (4:03.70).
 
The team of Stahl, Rogers, and Siegrist earned second in the 300 backstroke relay (3:16.38).
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. as they take on the Aggies and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at the NM State Swimming & Diving Complex.
