WINDSOR, Colo.– The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team announced on Tuesday that the final round of the UNC Spring Invitational at Raindance National Golf Course has been canceled due to unplayable conditions.
The results after the second round will stand as final results.
The Vaqueros finished in fifth place after posting a two-round total of 587 as they turned a first round team score of 293 before posting a second round 294. UTRGV finished three strokes behind Weber State for third place.

Esteban Gonzalez tied for 10
th after posting back-to-back rounds of even par 72 for a two-round total of 144. Senior
Javier Neira Garcia tied for 13
th with a two-round total of 145 after posting a first round two-under par 70 and then carding a second round 75.
Redshirt junior
Taj Sutherland tied for 23
rd with a two-round total of 150. Sutherland opened with a first round 79 before bouncing back in the second with a one-under par 71. Freshman
Emilio Gil Leyva tied for 29
th with a two-round total of 152 after posting rounds of 77 and 75. Junior
Juan Luis de Bethencourt Duque finished in 34
th with a two-round total of 155 after rounds of 75 and 80.
The Vaqueros will be back in action at the Western Athletic Conference Championships from April 27-29 at Chaparral Pines Golf Club.
