Women's Golf Set to Compete at Diamante Intercollegiate

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team is back on the course this week when they compete at the Diamante Intercollegiate, hosted by Little Rock, starting on Sunday at Diamante Country Club.

Tournament Format

The tournament will be played on Sunday through Tuesday
Each day will feature 18 holes.
Play will begin each day with the first group teeing off at 8:30 a.m.

Golf Course Info

Diamante Country Club plays 6,079 yards.
The par for the course is 72.

Natalia Rodriguez finished tied for 49^th with a three-round score of 233 after posting rounds of 80, 74, and 79.
Miriam Barcalova finished tied for 60^th with a three-round score of 236 with rounds of 84, 76, and 76.
Preston Saiz finished tied for 66^th with a three-round score of 238 with rounds of 77, 74, and 87.
Cristina Galban tied for 66^th with a three-round score of 238 with rounds of 83, 78, and 77.
Pitchayapa Pungpho finished tied for 78^th with a three-round score of 246 after rounds of 83, 78, and 85.

Last Year at the Diamante Intercollegiate

The Vaqueros didn't play in last year's Diamante Intercollegiate.
Florida Gulf Coast won the event with a three-round score of 848 with rounds of 287, 279, and 282.
Florida Gulf Coast's Lousiane Gauthier won the individual title with a three-round score of 201 after posting rounds of 67, 69, and 65.
