HOUSTON – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's swimming and diving program secured three program records and 13 personal bests at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday at the CRWC Natatorium.
The team of freshmen
Ida Rudelius,
Sarah Garcia,
Madiana Lofgren, and
Annaleagh Stahl combined to set a new program record 1:40.37 in the 200 freestyle relay.
Freshman
Manou Meulebeek won the consolation final in the 1-meter springboard with a score of 267.20. Five of her six dives scored over 40 points as she picked up nine points for the Vaqueros.
Sophomore
Olivia Votava finished 24
th in the 500 freestyle final after qualifying with a program best and personal best time of 5:11.00 in the preliminary round.

Swimming got started with the 500 freestyle where sophomore
AJ Rogers and freshman
Abygail Martinez set new personal bests.
Stahl set a program record and personal best in the 200 individual medley. Freshman
Diara Aleman also swam a new personal best in the event.
In the 50 freestyle, senior
Elisa Davila and freshmen
Caitlyn Brown,
Caitlynn Rubio,
Audrey Treviño, and
Lauren Uribe set new personal bests. Garcia and Lofgren also swam personal bests in the event.
The Vaqueros will continue their run at the WAC Championships Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the CRWC Natatorium which will be broadcast on
WAC International. Live results will be available for diving events on
DiveMeets and swimming events on
MeetMobile. The full schedule for day three can be found below the day two results.
Platform diving will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the finals will begin at 6 p.m. The finals will be broadcast domestically on
ESPN+.
