IOWA CITY, Iowa – Freshman
Manou Meulebeek made history for The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) swimming & diving program as the first Vaquero to qualify and compete at the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships Monday at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center.
Meulebeek finished 57
th in the 3-meter springboard preliminary round with a score of 198.85.
She qualified for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships after setting a season high score of 286.43 during UTRGV's first NCAA DI meet against Incarnate Word in October.
Meulebeek will continue competition at the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the 1-meter springboard preliminary round. The finals for the 1-meter will begin at 3 p.m.
The meet is hosted by the University of Iowa and will take place at the Campus Wellness and Recreation Center in Iowa City, Iowa. Both sessions of the 1-meter will be streamed on the Iowa Hawkeyes
website, and the live results will be available on
Dive Meets.
