COLUMBIA, Missouri – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team is set to compete at the Tiger Intercollegiate, hosted by Missouri University, on Monday at The Club at Old Hawthorne in their final preparation before the Southland Conference Championship.
The two-day event will feature 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes being played on Tuesday with play starting at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
The Club at Old Hawthorne plays 7,158 yards and is a par 70.
The Competition
The field for the tournament will feature UTRGV, host Missouri, Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Drake, Iowa State, Kansas State, Lindenwood, Nebraska, North Alabama, Oral Roberts, Saint Mary's, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Stetson, UNLV, and Wyoming.

The Vaqueros finished in 13
th at the Maridoe Intercollegiate, which featured a field that had four teams ranked in the top-15.
The Vaqueros finished with a three-round score of 924 with rounds of 311, 306, and 307.
Arthit Kruaprayong led the Vaqueros with a three-round score of 230 to finish tied for 42
nd. Kruaprayong carded rounds of 76, 82, and 72.
Taj Sutherland finished tied for 53
rd with a three-round score of 231 after posting rounds of 74, 75 and 82.
Esteban Gonzalez and
Emilio Gil Leyva finished tied for 65
th with three-round scores of 235. Gonzalez posted rounds of 82, 74, and 79 while Gil Leyva carded rounds of 82, 79, and 74.
Luis Limon finished tied for 71
st with a three-round score of 239 with rounds of 79, 78, and 82.
Eddie Lai, who was competing as an individual, finished tied for 64
th with a three-round score of 234 with rounds of 83, 76, and 75.
Last Year at the Tiger Intercollegiate
The Vaqueros didn't compete in last year's Tiger Intercollegiate
Iowa State won last year's event with an 11-under 841 after posting rounds of 277, 287, and 277. Missouri finished in second with a three-round score of 843 while Central Arkansas finished in third with a three-round score of 844.
Missouri's Jack Lundin won the individual title with a three-round score of 13-under 200 with rounds of 64, 70, and 66.
