COLUMBIA, Missouri– The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team finished tied for 11^th place at the Tiger Intercollegiate, hosted by Missouri University, on Tuesday at The Club at Old Hawthorne. 
 
The Vaqueros finished with a three-round score of 876, which is the team's lowest three-round score of the spring. UTRGV opened with a first round 296 before posting another 296 in the second round and then turned in a final round 283, which ties the team's lowest single-round score this spring.
 
Junior Arthit Kruaprayong finished tied for 16^th with a three-round score of 215. Kruaprayong improved in each round as he carded a first round 73, a second round 72, and a final round even par 70. 
 
Sophomore McAllen Memorial alum Esteban Gonzalez finished tied for 26^th with a three-round score of 217. Gonzalez also improved in each round after posting a first round 74, a second round 73 and an even par 70 in the final round. 
 
Redshirt senior Taj Sutherland finished tied for 40^th with a three-round score of 219. Sutherland opened with a first round 73 before posting a second round 72 and then closed with a final round 74. Sophomore Emilio Gil Leyva finished tied for 80^th with a three-round score of 227 after posting rounds of 79, 79, and one-under 69. Junior Luis Limón finished in 99^th with rounds of 76 and 77. 
 
Missouri won the team title with a three-round score of 848 with rounds of 288, 279, and 281. Missouri's Mattias Varjun won the individual title with a three-round score of 206 after posting rounds of 70, 70, and 66.  
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action from April 21-23 at the Southland Conference Championship at Comanche Trace in Kerrville.
