Meulebeek Finishes Seventh in Three-Meter to Lead Swimming & Diving in Day Two of MPSF Championships

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – Sophomore Manou Meulebeek reached her second-consecutive championship final, claiming seventh with a score of 255.85 in the 3-meter springboard, at the 2026 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday.
 
The fans came out in full force, showcasing the spirit of all 13 institutions represented in the MPSF, as a staggering 1,774 fans entered the doors at the City of Pharr-PSJA Natatorium.
 
Meulebeek was one of three entries to score for The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). Alongside Meulebeek, Senior Delaney Murphy wrapped up her collegiate career with a 22nd place finish, scoring during the preliminary round to put points on the board for UTRGV.
 
The 200 medley relay team of freshman Dia Henderson, sophomore Annaleagh Stahl, freshman Sarah Bull, and sophomore Ida Rudelius earned ninth and clocked in at 1:39.44. This finish is the highest for a UTRGV relay team in the championships.
 
Looking Back at the Prelims
 
In the 500 freestyle, junior Olivia Votava swam a season-best and team-high time of 5:14.69, finishing in 34th place. Bull finished close behind, swimming 5:14.99, to claim 35th place. Meanwhile, freshman Ellinor Plant (5:21.27) and junior AJ Rogers (5.24.66) hit season-best marks in the event.
 
Freshman Jaydy Jay led the way for the Vaqueros in the 200 individual medley, clocking in at 2:15.69. Meanwhile, sophomore Alexia Gonzalez hit a season-best mark in the event.
 
Henderson swam a UTRGV-best 24.48 in the 50 freestyle. Meanwhile, Rudelius clocked in at 24.89. Freshmen Giovanna Pierami (25.45), Sasapin Sarawas, and Ava Light (25.94) hit season-best marks. Sophomores Mia Gonzalez (26.27), Lauren Uribe (26.27), and Audrey Trevino (27.02) also achieved season-best times in the event.


The Vaqueros will continue their run at the MPSF Championships Friday with the preliminary round starting at 10 a.m. and the finals beginning at 6 p.m. at the City of Pharr-PSJA Natatorium.
 
All-session passes are still available at a cost of $80 for adults and $65 for children, ages 17 and under, and for seniors, ages 65 and up and can be purchased at GoUTRGV.com/MPSF.
 
The single-day tickets will cost $45 for adults and $40 for children, ages 17 and under, and for seniors, ages 65 and up. On Wednesday, the price for single-day tickets is $30 for all fans. Single-day tickets are available at GoUTRGV.com/MPSFSingleDay.
 
Current students of MPSF institutions will receive free admission to the championships. UTRGV students can claim their free tickets at GoUTRGV.com/StudentTickets. Current students of all other MPSF institutions must show their student IDs at the door.
 
Fans will be able to catch all the action by tuning into the live stream, provided by GOLS, or by following along with live results. Swimming live results will be available on MeetMobile and diving live results will be posted on DiveMeets.
