RIO GRANDE VALLEY –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team learned on Wednesday that they will compete in the Tallahassee Regional of the NCAA Tournament from May 11-13 at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
The NCAA has six regional sites with 12 teams at each regional. The top five teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa from May 22-27, with the low individual not on an advancing team also making it to the championship.
The Vaqueros won the program's first-ever Southland Conference Championship on April 15 to earn the program's first-ever trip to an NCAA Regional.
The Tallahassee field will feature UTRGV, Florida, Wake Forest, UCLA, Florida State, Eastern Michigan, Kentucky, Purdue, Clemson, ULM, North Florida, and Little Rock.
