Injuries limited his playing time as a junior for the Broncs, but he came on strong at the end of the year and looks to be an important part of the Broncs success this season... A utility player that signed Texas A&M University out of San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif. in 1996... A versatile player that red-shirted his first year and rotated in the outfield as a freshman.

2000 (Junior Season): Played in 26 games, making 20 starts in the outfield...  Had a .256 batting average with four home runs and 18 RBI's despite seeing limited action due to injuries... Came on strong at the end of the season, going 7-for-15 over the last four games with two RBI's and five runs scored... Had his first home run and one of his best games at the plate as a Broncs against Louisiana-Monroe, going 2-for-5 with a double and a solo home run (2/6)... Went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI's against UT-San Antonio (2/18)... Had his first three-hit game as a Bronc against Western Illinnois(3/7)... Also was part of the Broncs record setting back-to-back-to-back-to-back home run parade against WIU... That streak of four consecutive home runs was the second longest in NCAA history. 

Hill Junior College: Hit .356 with 46 RBI, 18 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs through march as a third baseman... He was sidelined with hamstring injury.

San Ramon Valley High School: Was a two-sport athlete at San Ramon Valley High School... compete in both football and baseball.

Personal: Heinrichs is the son of Deborah and Dennis Heinrichs... born on February 6, 1978... Has one brother, Dennis... He was married to his wife, Amanda, on November 20, 1999... majoring in journalism.
