BOISE, Id. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's swimming and diving program secured 11 personal bests and 26 season bests at the Vandal Invite and Tiger Invitational Saturday.
The UTRGV swimming & diving team split up this weekend as the swimmers competed in the Vandal Invite in Boise, Idaho and the divers took part in the Tiger Invitational in San Antonio.

Freshman
Manou Meulebeek swept the diving events with a 276.30 to win the 3-meter springboard while junior
Delaney Murphy took second with a season-best 257.40.
Vandal Invite
The Vaqueros had 12 student-athletes qualify for the finals in the individual events after a full morning of prelims.
The finals started with the 200 medley relay where the team of freshman
Annaleagh Stahl, sophomore
Olivia Votava, and freshmen
Ida Rudelius and
Madiana Lofgren set a new school record with a time of 1:51.62. The team consisting of sophomore
AJ Rogers and freshmen
Diara Aleman,
Sarah Garcia, and
Mia Gonzalez set a season-best time of 1:59.83.
In the 100 butterfly, freshman Rudelius led the way for the Vaqueros, securing sixth place with a personal-best 59.34. Garcia set a new personal-best in the event with a 1:03.86.
In a packed 200 freestyle field, Rudelius (1:59.05), Siegrist (2:04.53), and Rogers (2:07.99) picked up season-best times. In the event, the Vaqueros had four swimmers place inside the top 16 with Rudelius finishing a team-high fifth and setting a new school record.
Stahl took sixth in the 400 individual medley with a 4:38.46 while Votava swam a season-best 4:49.59 to finish in 10
th.
In the 100 breaststroke, freshman Aleman finished in seventh with a season-best 1:18.39 while freshman
Caitlynn Rubio set a new personal-best at 1:25.92.
As the lone swimmer from UTRGV in the 100 back, Stahl finished in fifth with a 58.54.
Looking Back at the Prelims
The meet kicked off with the 100 butterfly where Rudelius qualified for the "A" Final with a then season-best 59.78. Aleman swam a personal-best 1:07.71 in the event.
In the 400 IM, Stahl finished in sixth, earning a spot in the "A" Final with a season-best 4:34.15. Votava also swam a then season-best 4:52.53.
Rudelius qualified for her second "A" Final after hitting a then season-best 2:00.41 in the 200 free. Lofgren hit a season-best 2:06.09 while Siegrist (2:05.32) and Rogers (2:08.70) hit then season-best marks to qualify for the "B" Final. Freshman
Abygail Martinez finished with a personal-best 2:22.46 in the event as well.
In the 100 breaststroke, Aleman swam a then season-best 1:18.65, qualifying for the "A" Final, while freshmen
Lauren Uribe (1:22.04) and
Caitlyn Brown (1:31.59) hit personal-best times in the event. Rubio hit a then personal-best 1:28.55 in the race.
Stahl swam a 58.07 in the 100 back, finishing sixth and qualifying for her second "A" Final.
The 800 freestyle relay team of Stahl, Lofgren, Votava, and Rudelius finished in fourth with a school record 8:08.08.
The Vaqueros will return to action tomorrow for the third and final day of the Vandal Invite. The prelims will start at 11 a.m. (CT) and the finals are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. (CT).
