LUBBOCK – It was déjà vu all over again as The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros indoor track & field teams broke three more program records Saturday, bringing their weekend total to six, as the Stan Scott Invite wrapped up at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock.
Junior
Corin Burns tabbed his second program record of the meet as he finished 10
th in the men's 200-meter dash in 21.23. The personal-best performance added to his big weekend which also saw him set the program record in the 100-meter dash in a sixth-place finish.
Sophomore
Kailey Salazar headlined a solid day for UTRGV's 800-meter run group. Salazar ran a personal best 2:13.14 to finish ninth and set a program record. This was her second record of the meet, too, as she was on the women's distance medley relay which broke the program record on Friday.
Junior
Achol Maywin made her UTRGV debut and immediately took the No. 1 spot in program history in the women's high jump. Maywin cleared a personal-record 1.75 meters as she finished sixth.
The men's 200-meter dash group made three entries into the record books. Junior
Jamari Harts ran 21.61, the sixth-best time in program history, and junior Brownsville Hanna alum
Alejandro Arellano clocked the No. 10 time in the record books of 21.79 in his first indoor 200 race.

Lilliana Guerrero both ran personal bests in the 800. Medellin joined Salazar in the record books as she clocked in at 2:15.53, the seventh-best time in program history. Adding to the women's distance success was senior
Samantha Gonzalez, who ran a personal-best 5:02.77 in the women's mile to take the No. 3 spot in program history as she finished 11
th.
Sophomore
La'Zariah Bethany also made her mark in the program record books in the women's triple jump. Bethany jumped a personal record 11.95 meters as she finished eighth.
Junior
Nayla Harris earned her second personal best of the weekend as she ran 25.15 in the women's 200-meter dash. Junior Brownsville Hanna alum
Aliyah Castillo added a personal record in the event, running 25.72. In the men's 200, freshman
Richard Young and junior
Jaylen Critton also tabbed personal bests.
Along with the six program records, UTRGV totaled 18 personal bests and 16 total entries into the history books during the meet.
UTRGV will return to Lubbock for its next meet, the Jarvis Scott Invitational, Feb. 14-15 at the Sports Performance Center.
