RIO GRANDE VALLEY – Sophomore
Manou Meulebeek is excited to make her return to the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships, which is hosted by Texas A&M, at the Student Recreation Center in College Station, Texas.
Meulebeek will compete on Monday and Tuesday as she reached the qualifying marks for the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard earlier this season. Meulebeek has reached the Zone "D" Diving Championships in back-to-back seasons.
The meet will start Monday at 12 p.m. as Meulebeek will compete against 62 other divers in the 1-meter springboard preliminary round. The finals will begin immediately after the preliminary round. The top 11 finishers from the 1-meter springboard will qualify for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
On Tuesday, Meulebeek will compete alongside 54 of the best divers in Zone D in the 3-meter springboard preliminary round. Similarly, the finals will begin immediately after the preliminary round. The top 10 finishers from the 3-meter springboard will qualify for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
In her most recent competition, Meulebeek earned a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter springboard, with a score of 269.95, and a seventh-place finish in the 3-meter springboard, with a score of 255.85, at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimming & Diving Championships.
However, Meulebeek enters with season-best marks of 316.95 and 319.50 in the 1- and 3-meter springboard, respectively.
