2024 Outdoor Track & Field (Senior): Won gold with the 4x100-meter relay at WAC Outdoor Championships in a program-record time of 44.42… Was 15^th in the 100-meter dash and 18^th in the 200-meter dash in a PB time of 24.47 at the WAC Outdoor Championships… Took first with the 4x100, fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight, running PB 11.88 in the 100… Was first with the 4x100, third in the 100 and fourth in the 200 at the Cactus Cup… Finished 56^th in the 100 at Texas Relays… Took third with the 4x100 a the Texas A&M Invite… Opened season with a third-place finish in the 4x100 and 11^th in the 100 at the Kirk Baptiste Spring Break Invitational. 

2024 Indoor Track & Field (Senior): Ran a personal-best 7.69 to finish 34^th in the 60-meter dash at the Jarvis Scott Open … Opened the season at the Arkansas Invitational, taking 21^st in the 200-meter dash and 28^th in the open 60-meter dash. 

2023 Outdoor Track & Field (Junior): Set a program record with the 4x100-meter relay (45.40) to finish 4th at WAC Outdoor championships and ran a PR 11.95 in the 100-meter dash to finish 18th; was 24th in the 200-meter dash ... Won the 4x100 at the Texas Invitational ... Was 3rd with the 4x100 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight ... Took 2nd in the 200 at the Cactus Cup, running a PR 24.66 ... Was 2nd with the 4x100 and 13th in the 100 at the UTSA Invitational. 

2023 Indoor Track & Field (Junior): Ran a PR 7.72 in the 60-meter dash to finish 27th at WAC Indoor Championships and was 31st in the 200-meter dash ... Finished 24th in the 200 and 25th in the 60 at the Jarvis Scott Open ... Was 16th with the 4x400-meter relay at the Robert Platt Invitational. 

2020-22 (Fort Scott Community College): Akers comes to UTRGV with two years of collegiate competition under her belt. In the 2022 outdoor season, she finished eighth in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the NJCAA Region VI Championships. She qualified for the NJCAA Div. I Outdoor Championships in both events plus the 4x100-meter relay. She won bronze at the 2022 Region VI Indoor Championships in the 60-meter dash to advance to the NJCAA DI Indoor Championships. She owns PRs of 7.57 in the 60, 12.34 in the 100 and 24.37w in the 200.

Personal: Received an associates degree of arts from FSCC... Has four siblings... Describes herself as honest, goofy and sweet.
