Fall 1996: Shot a season low 72 in the second round of the Red Raider Intercollegiate Invitational to finish in a tie for 17th place... Tied for 27th place at UTPA Intercollegiate Golf Classic on rounds of 79, 77, and 77. 

As a Junior (1995-96): Competed in 11 tournaments and compiled a 77.2 stroke average...fired a 71, 74, and 75 to earn a 13th place tie at the UTPA Intercollegiate Classic... Fired a two round score of 148 to finish in a tie for 10th a the UTSA Spring Season Opener... Selected to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's All-Academic List. 

As a Sophomore (1994-95): Posted a 79.3 stroke average... Shot a 231 at the Sun Belt Conference Championship...Shot a season low of 71 in the final round of the UTPA Intercollegiate Classic to finish in a tie for 43rd... Tied for 56th place at the Rice/Columbia Lakes Invitational. 

As a freshman (1993-94): Played in four tournaments as a true freshman, finishing 13th in the UT-Pan American Classic... Shot season-best round of 72 in the second round of the UT-Pan American Classic... Recorded hole in one on 11th hole during UT-Pan American Classic... Had stroke average of 79.7 in 11 rounds with six rounds in the 70s... selected to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's All-Academic List. 

H.M. King High School: Three-time All-District 31-5A selection for coach Earl Simpson's team at H.M. King High School.. Led team to third place finish at District 31-5A Championship as a senior... Had 15 top 10 finishes during prep career, including three third place finishes... Shot a low round of 71 at district championships as a senior to tie for third place individually.. Team captain and team Most Valuable Player as junior and senior... Earned first team Academic All-District 31-5A honors all four years and graduated with 4.0 GPA... Was member of National Honory Society, French Club and Junior Engineers and Technicians (J.E.T.S.).

Personal: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Francisco Perez of Kingsville, Texas. Born January 23, 1974 at Kingsville... Majoring in psychology with plans to become a sports psychologist.
