Fall 1996: Competed in three tournaments... finished in a tie for 23rd overall at the UTPA Intercollegiate Classic with a score of 232. 

As a freshman (1995-96): Played in eight tournaments... Finished in a tie for 4th overall at Indian Intercollegiate Invitational and was named to the All Tournament team... Shot a 77 in the final round of the UTPA Intercollegiate Classic tying for 20th place... Posted a 78.6 stroke average. 

Victoria High School: A two time All-District selection... Finished second in District 30-5A and was also selected All-District Academic honors as a junior... won the Victoria Fall Classic and finished second in the Corpus Christi Fall Classic... A two time team MVP

Personal: Son of Betty and Joe Mitchell... Born December 2, 1976... Majoring in Business at UTPA with a minor in history... Would like to became a PGA professional following graduation.
