Cross Country - Moncivais competed in all five meets during the cross country season... finished 22nd overall at the National Independent Championships with a time of 27:10.10 in the 8,000-meter race... recorded a top time of 26:33 in the 8,000 meters at the Brooks Pre-Nationals Meet... Outdoor - The UTPA sophomore notched his best finish of the outdoor season at the ASU/David Noble Relays where he finished seventh overall with a time of 16:05.73 in the 5,000 meters... was 13th overall in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:07.33 at the Rice/Bayou Classic... posted a 14th-place finish at the Border Olympics with a time of 4:29.87 in the 1,500 meters... was 19th overall in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:16.52 at the Texas Invitational... Indoor - Moncivais posted his best finish of the indoor season at the Wes Kittley Invitational where he finished sixth overall with a time of 9:40.21 in the 3,000 meters... was seventh overall at that same meet with a mark of 2:12.96 in the 800-meter race... finished 12th overall in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:06.71 in the 3,000 meters... Classroom - Moncivais earned UTPA Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll laurels for the first time in his career... earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors for the second straight semester.

2005
Cross Country - Moncivais appeared in five meets in his rookie season with the Broncs... recorded his best finish at the Rice Invitational where he placed 22nd overall with a time of 18:52.13 in the 6,000-meter meet... finished 34th overall with a time of 26:27.97 in the 8,000-meter race at the National Independent Cross Country Championships... placed 62nd overall at the Cowboy Jamboree with a time of 27:23 in the 8,000-meter race... Classroom - The UTPA newcomer was a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member for the fall semester.

2004 [Texas A&M-Kingsville]
Cross Country - As a member of the Javelinas[apos] cross country team during his freshman season, Moncivais recorded his best times of 26:50 in the 8,000 meters and 34:04 in the 10,000 meters... Outdoor - Moncivais posted a best time of 15:45 in the 5,000 meters for Texas A&M-Kingsville.

PSJA North High School
Moncivais was one of the top five runners in the State of Texas and finished second overall at the state cross country championships during his senior campaign... was part of a track and field team that went undefeated during his senior season... named the Most Improved Runner for his prep team in cross country in his junior campaign... earned a trio of letters for the Raiders in cross country... was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Off the Track
Moncivais is the son of Alejandro and Alma Rosa Moncivais... was born on Dec. 12, 1985... has one brother - Jorge - and two sisters - Brenda Zungia and Cynthia Garcia... his brother, Jorge, is a freshman on the UTPA cross country and track and field programs... majoring in criminal justice.
