Summary

Biography

A.J. (Aaron) Seaholm will concentrate on playing first base this season, although he led the Bronc pitching staff with a perfect 0.00 earned-run average in 1998.  His pitching stats were brief two outs, one hit, one strikeout, no walks, no runs. The team ERA was 6.44.     Seaholm illustrates the baseball truth that a good offense and defensive first baseman is worth his weight in statistical gold. He hit .240 with two homers, one a booming grand slam at Louisiana  Tech, and he also did the vital unsung duties like scooping up bad throws for outs.      He hit 12 home runs at Hutchinson JC in Kanas to set a record for Coach John Burgi. Seaholm also starred for West High in Billings, a State runner-up team.     Seaholm's size, 6-5 and 220, and power potential convinced coaches to keep him on first base instead of the mound.     Seasholm is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and plans to go into business.
