Summary

Biography

Scott Green pitched better under pressure than anyone did for the Broncs in 1998; in fact, he was outstanding. His 6-4 record led the team in wins. His 14 starts and four complete games were also tops for the club. His 87 strikeouts to 54 walks was the best ratio.     His biggest win came when he outpitched South Alabama's unbeaten ace, 4-1, on March 27, a victory that helped keep the Broncs in the Sun Belt Conference race until the final series.     Green proved he could compete with and beat the best he faced in 1998. He knows how to pitch and win, so he looms large in the Broncs' 1999 plans. A power pitcher, he did well at Navarro JC after an outstanding career at Aubrey High in North Texas. He put up big numbers in HS for Coach Craig Stensgard, once striking out 15 of 16 batters. He made All-State at shortstop, All-District in basketball and also lettered two years in tennis.     Green is majoring in Computer Science, minoring in Business.
