Summary

Biography

Anthony Arteaga played a lot of center field in 1998, helping Grayson County JC of Denison, Texas, reach the finals of the Junior College World Series. He hit .385 with 12 home runs for Coach Tim Tadelock.    Arteaga brings good experiences to the Broncs and figures to be an outstanding player. Like all the newcomers to NCAA Division I, he needs some seasoning at this level.     Although he now lists Brownsville as home, he graduating from Ponchatoula HS in Louisiana, where he lettered in basketball and cross country, plus batting .455 for Coach Melvin Meyers in baseball. He made All-State in baseball, averaging 19.6 points. He figures to help the Broncs the next two seasons.    Arteaga is majoring in Communication, minoring in History, and plans to be a broadcaster.
