A local product who returns to the Valley after playing at Tarleton State.

2000 ( Sophomore Season): Saw limited action in just two games for the Broncs before red-shirting... Tied for the team lead with a perfect 0.00 ERA... His first action of the season came against nationally ranked Illinois... He pitched one inning, allowing no earned runs, while striking out three (2/25)... He also took the mound against Western Illinois allowing no runs in 1 1/3 innings (3/7).

Tarleton State: Garcia spent two years at Tarleton State where he was in the baseball program under head coach Jack Allen.

Weslaco High School: After only one season on the Weslaco High Varsity baseball team, Garcia received second team honorable mention and team MVP.
 
Personal: Garcia is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jose Jaime Garcia... major in general studies at UTPA.
