Outdoor - Ben recorded a banner season for the Broncs as he captured all top five spots on the 110 meter hurdles list... earned a trip to the NCAA Division I Midwest Regional Championships at Texas A&M... tied his own school record at the Angela Proctor Classic with a time of 14.17 in the 110 meter hurdles... won two meets during the season at the Angela Proctor Classic as well as the Whataburger/UTSA Relays... finished third at the Tom Tellez Invitational hosted by The University of Houston with a time of 14.29, which tied him for third on the all-time list... also ran 14.29 at the Texas A&M Invitational where he garnered fourth-place honors... finished fourth at the Bayou Classic with a time of 14.60... Indoor - Ben wrapped up a great indoor season by claiming the top three spots in the record books for the 60 meter hurdles... captured the individual championships at the LSU Twilight Invitational, finishing in 7.93 and breaking the school record... broke the 60 meter hurdles record in three consecutive meets... placed third at the Houston/RunSports All-Comers Meet with a time of 8.02, which was the second fastest time in program history... finished third at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a mark of 8.09... Classroom - Ben was cited as a member of the UTPA Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll... was also a fall of 2003 member of the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club...

Outdoor - Ben captured the Angela Proctor Classic in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.48... qualified for the NCAA Division I Midwest Outdoor Championships after recording a time of 14.17 in the 110 meter hurdles at the Texas Invitational... that time set a program record... finished 15th overall and eighth in his heat at the regional championships with a time of 14.24, which was the third fastest time in program history... collected a second-place finish at the Dogwood Invitational with a time of 14.40 and found himself ranked fifth on the program[apos]s all-time list... was third at the UTSA/Whataburger Relays, recording a time of 14.52 in the 100 meter hurdles.

2002
Outdoor - Ben won two individual championships in the 110 meter hurdles at the Javelina Relays (14.30) and Angela Proctor Classic (14.35)... earned runner-up honors at the UTSA/Whataburger Relays (14.56) and Angelo State Relays (14.35)... placed third at the Javelina Relays in the 400 meter hurdles (56.50) and fourth at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.65... Indoor - Ben recorded his best finish of the indoor season at the Texas Tech Red Raider Classic in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 7.72... Classroom - The UTPA sophomore received United State Achievement Academy All-American Scholar Honors.

Outdoor - Ben set a freshman record in the 110 meter hurdles... also saw action in the long jump and triple jump... Indoor - In his rookie campaign, Ben set a freshman record in the 60 meter hurdles... Classroom - Ben was cited as a UTPA Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll selection... earned UTPA Dean[apos]s List Second Honors during the spring semester... was a member of the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during the spring.

High School - In his final season at Sidney Lanier High School, Ben was the individual high-point scorer at the 4A state championship... finished fourth in the 110M hurdles with a time of 14.28... captured the district championship in both the 100M hurdles and triple jump on three occasions.... was the regional champion in the triple jump... finished third in the 110M hurdles at the regional championships... cited as a member of the President Honor Society, National Honor Society and Honor Roll... garnered the Martin Luther King Young Legacy Award... selected for the Trustee Award three times.
